There are a number of advanced DNA tests available for those who have already taken the basic DNA tests and wish to explore their ancestry further. These tests are only available from Family Tree DNA unless stated otherwise. The tests can be found by logging into your FTDNA personal page, clicking on "Order tests and upgrades" and "Go to advanced orders".

A variety of deep clade tests are available for selected haplogroups. The deep clade tests include a pre-selected panel of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Some SNPs can be ordered on an à la carte basis.
